The monsoon season in India ushers a series of festivities. It’s a glorious season, as the Earth rejoices itself after the hot and dry season. With the onset of rains, the surroundings are green and lush, making Hariyali Teej a joyous celebration. In Hindi, Hariyali refers to the color green. Women in India adorn themselves this day, in hues of greens and reds and apply henna on their hands and feet. Combinations of white, gold, grey, yellow and magenta go beautifully with the color green and red although these colors compliment each other very well, even with its different hues. Wearing contrasting colors to a green outfit and bangles could not only enhance the overall look but also help you to stand out in the crowd. Not just with the blouse, sarees can be worn in different ways as well; maharashtrian style, bengali style or stick to the basic one if you are trying out different sleeves for the blouse. Since bangles play an important role to complete the outfit, don’t forget to use contrasting colored bangles to your outfit. It can be improvised and it also adds a spice of style to your look.
